D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) is a collaborative program
in which local law enforcement and local schools join together to
educate students about the personal and social consequences of
substance abuse and violence. Since 1987 the DARE program has
been taught in the Anderson County School system and has
graduated thousands of students ready to enter middle school.
The mission and purpose of the Anderson County Chamber of Commerce is to guide, inspire and promote the best interests of existing, new businesses, and professional members of the area, and to enhance the economic, cultural, educational and recreational opportunities of its citizens.
